Charter School Funding Research by Moak, Casey & Associates

Courtesy of Raise Your Hand Texas and Moak, Casey & Associates:

Texas Kids Can’t Wait earlier published a comprehensive study conducted by Dr. Larry Toenjes about the Texas charter school claim that they need additional state funding for facilities since, they allege, they are funded at $1,000 less per student than the traditional public schools.  Toenjes found their claim to be absolutely FALSE!  Instead, Toenjes found, charter schools receive an AVERAGE of $700 MORE per ADA (average daily attendance) than do the public schools for maintenance and operations (M&O) allocations.  (See the entire report on this blog.)

Now comes a second study, this time conducted by Moak, Casey & Associates for Raise Your Hand Texas finding the same–that the charter school claims are blatantly untrue.
